Product Care
Leather lasts when you treat it like leather. TecovasA pairs are unfinished enough to take a patina; they are not waterproof out of the box.
Boots
- Let them dry on a last or stuffed with paper, away from heaters.
- Brush dirt. Use a cream or wax matched to the leather (smooth, suede, or exotic).
- Condition a few times a year, not every week.
- Rotate pairs. A rest day keeps the insole and shaft in shape.
Suede and roughout
Use a suede brush only. Water spots usually even out; do not soak. Spray a protector before the first wet day.
Apparel
Pearl snaps and denim: cold wash, hang dry. Waxed canvas: wipe, do not machine wash. Hats: keep out of rain; reshape on a can if the brim slumps.
