Our Story

Humble beginnings

TecovasA grew from a simple brief: make better Western boots and sell them without the old wholesale stack. In 2015 a founder packed a trunk, worked fairs and markets, and listened to first-time boot buyers who found the category loud and hard to enter.

The work settled in Austin. Design still happens on the east side of that city. Hill Country Western Goods LLC now runs tecovaslife.shop from 1804 South Lamar Boulevard, Suite 220, Austin, TX 78704.

We make them like they used to

A pair takes more than two hundred steps. It starts on a last shaped for a Western silhouette, then a tri-layer insole around the shank, then shaft, vamp, and counter in hand-selected hides. Dress boots are cut and stitched in León, Mexico, in rooms where leatherwork is still a family trade.
